I am so sick of Americans hating on America. Don’t get me wrong, we do have issues, and issues that need to be discussed and worked through, like the holes in our health care and prison systems. A lot of our politicians are questionable. But we still have so many freedoms that so many other places don’t, and overall our quality of life is so high. For instance, every time I see a post talking about the ignorance taught in American Sex Ed courses, it just baffles me. I had a greatly comprehensive Sex Ed course through my public school, and 99.999% of the people I know did, too (and I’m talking people from the North, South, East, West, and everywhere in between). I think the few and far between examples of bad Sex Ed courses are put on sites like Tumblr and then blown up for the world to see, and suddenly the entire Sexual Education program in the US is sooooo terrible. And really, this is just one example- for every time i hear a broad generalization about the US, it almost always boils back down to blowing individual issues way out of proportion.
America is a great place with great people and great opportunities. There are people risking everything trying to get to America and become citizens to escape their actually terrible countries because this is a good nation. Again, I’m not saying everything is perfect. Yes, our problems as a country need to be examined and discussed to try to find a solution. But it must be acknowledged that this is a huge and hugely diverse country, and that no matter how much we change and grow, there will always be problems, and those should not overshadow the wonderful things around us. As Bill Clinton once said, “There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right in America.” So please pump the breaks on the America hate, it’s so unwarranted and ungrateful.
I think that people who advocate for gun control without educating themselves more on the topic are only hurting their cause.
When I was younger, I thought gun control was a good thing, until I moved to Chicago. Here I’ve seen, and my friends have experienced secondhand, the consequences of a universal gun ban.
Gun control advocates who have no knowledge of firearms seem to literally make things up as they go. It frustrates me because, now that my views have changed, I am confident in my ability to protect myself and my family, and it seems like certain politicians want to take that from me because I’m somehow unworthy as a private citizen.
Glassware can get pretty expensive especially if you’re in college and always getting sht faced and breaking your glasses. Start just using your empty beer bottles and turning them into your new glasses. Look dope, easy to make and cheap! Follow these 5 easy steps.
Step 1 – Grab a beer bottle preferably with thick glass such as corona bottles. Tie a string just above the label on the empty bottle
Step 2 – Keep the string tied and soak it in lighter fluid.
Step 3 – Put the string back on the bottle and hold it horizontally. Light the sting rotating the bottle so the flame spreads. You should hear the bottle crack slightly in about 10 seconds.
Step 4 – After you hear the crack, pour cold water on the string and the top of the bottle will fall off.
Step 5 – Now grab sandpaper and sand the edges of the bottle till it is smooth.

there’s an old myth about a hero who flew on wings made of wax. he thought he could touch the sun, but when he got too close, his wings melted, and he came crashing back down to earth.
sad that you’re not here but happy that you’re somewhere.
Is it wrong I wish someone with a high powered sniper rifle would’ve shot up the gun rights rally the other day here? Just so we could finally prove a point to these idiots that this country needs gun control.
It’s posts…
Yes, it’s fucking wrong.
Home brewing fun fact: President Obama and the White House chefs are the first to home brew in the White House. Thanks @areid9487 by beerqwest http://ift.tt/1dQkRJK
